Seth the tech-savvy expert set up a blog-site for people to submit their addresses to us for the announcements! I think he's so brilliant! He keeps claiming that after the wedding he's going to start a business to take care of all this stuff for people for cheap. I think he's on to something!!!
If you haven't submitted your address yet, or if you're immediate family and Mom or Gina have already sent us your addresses, please fill out THIS FORM and we'll send you an announcement!
Thanks!

Our Engagement Pictures!
Below is a link to some of our favorite engagement pictures. We need to fix the lighting in a lot of them bc my face looks a little orange (oops) but we'll work it out! I like our outfits, I think they're cute and I think seth is adorable in argyle. I'm just more and more in love with him every day, I know I shouldn't go on about this, but it is my private wedding blog so I guess i can gush just a little bit, right?? Oh i just really think Seth is amazing, he's so patient and kind and loving, and he's so funny. I was a little grouchy the past several days bc I wasn't feeling well, and seth just took everything in stride and took care of me and loved me anyway. I just feel lucky and so blessed in my life right now--I think that God has been watching out for us and has given us the chance to be together forever.
Anyway, Here's the link:
And here's our lovely photographer, thanks Annie!!!

Wedding Shoe
It was love at first sight. I was going down the Nordstrom escalator, and I saw them. Our eyes met, and we were drawn to one another. Surely this is what was meant to be. It's Cinderella and her missing slipper, reunited at last.
Okay, maybe not quite. But I figured I could indulge at least the 5 year old nieces in the dream for a minute.
I have received no advice about wedding shoes this year, but in years past i remember EVERYONE telling me to wear comfy shoes, don't bother with the heels, just wear what you love and don't worry. We all remember Father of the Bride and her awesome wedding sneakers, and I've seen many a flip-flop dressed to the nines for wedding wear. So then my moment of inspiration came--through the bff. After going to Cara's wedding and seeing her awesomest shoes ever, I realized I had to find something that would just be mine to love and wear forever and ever and that of course went with the wedding theme, or that i could at least wear until i had bunions (is that what grandma ruth had?) I mean, it is an eternal wedding, right? And you better believe I'm going to turn around and sell my dress to the first buyer, so i've gotta keep the shoes!
Well, on with it. Let's start with the part that will likely cause me the most pain.
AND now the view that I will likely have most often:
And what my awesome photographer will probably catch:

And for all of your viewing pleasure.
*It should be noted that I have not purchased above shoes yet. I have to get the dress first. And I'm praying that somehow the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale will come just in time for me to purchase. And if I find something that is more like a "Once upon a dream" fairy tale (I do prefer Sleeping Beauty) then I'll happily move to greener pastures. But for tonight, this is what I'll dream about :)
**Update: I purchased above shoe. And I'm so happy. And they were totally comfortable for the 7 minutes i wore them in nordstrom shoe, so they'll be great all day long at the wedding and all night standing at the reception, right?? Riiiiiiiight. :)

Yaaaayyyy!
I just have to post my gladness for Margene's Bridal and their fantastic customer Service! I called three bridal stores today, and all of them were a little less than helpful, and then the last bridal store mentioned that a lot of the "Modestia couture" dresses (the initial one that i love) are carried by Margene's bridal in Idaho Falls. I called on a whim, hoping that they might have something, and they were MORE than helpful. Kim looked up the dress, and then mentioned that they also have the Maggie Sorrentino (my second choice) dress in both their boise and their idaho falls stores, and that she would call and hunt down my sizes and try to have them ALL in the store whenever i chose to come--and that they would help me get everything together and try everything they could to help me. What a relief!!! I told Kim that I liked her the most out of all the bridal places i'd talked to and that her picture of the maggie sorrentino dress was better than the other websites :) (Here it is, it really is a little awkward, like what is that girl's face doing?? but I still think the actual dress looks good.) Go Idaho!

Update: Dress
I called the dress store yesterday to verify that they had my dress in the right size in, and was quite disappointed in them! They said that they have one size 2 in cream and one size 4 in white, and that they only make one order a year so if it's not available when I come in May then I could pay extra to have them rush ship it, but it would still take 10 weeks (so it might come in the weekend AFTER my wedding). I was thinking "And this is a Mormon UTAH store? Did they miss the Mormons-are-only-ever-engaged-for-three-months memo?" Sigh. :(
So I'm calling the Manager today, but I have to start looking for alternatives. Here is one that my coworker found--

It's here in Virginia, so I've set up a few appointments to try it on and see what I think. It's cheaper, so that's nice!!!

More on the Combs
Wow I'm the luckiest girl ever! I'm so glad to be able to hear a lot of opinions and thoughts on my hairpiece--it seems a silly thing, but I REALLY think it will make or break the entire wedding (just kidding...)
So to answer a few questions, I'm not going to have a veil, I'm just going to do my hair in those lose curls tied back snugly with the comb. I think the dress is amazing enough on it's own that i don't want to be too much or anything with all the veil and accessories. And yes, I'm going to get that dress. It's just my favorite thing ever in the world and I can't imagine life without it (again, kidding...not about getting the dress, just about it being the most important thing ever, haha)
SOOOOO, I've taken everyone's thoughts into consideration and I've contacted the Hair Comb Maker and she has agreed to make a custom hairpiece for me that combines all of the elements of the combs into what i REALLY want.
Here are some of the things I'm going to combine:
--Light cream pearls (not too cream and not stark white, just in between)
--A variety of sizes of pearls, like #3 (but not necessarily in that arrangement...
--A 1.75" Comb--not too big, not to small, just the right size.
--All pearls (this was a tough one, i like the crystals in the #4 because it adds variety, but i'm afraid they'll look tacky in person, and i just love the vintage look of all pearl...
--And...possibly a few clusters like this (but in the comb, not on the long sticks!)
I'll post a picture when I get it!
Ohhh if you want to see my Comb Maker's Etsy Site, go to www.beadifulthings.com

Pearl Comb
THANK YOU for your words of advice and comments! This is so fun to be able to involve all my dear friends and get great inspiration and wisdom from everyone! I just love it and I love all of you!
So I started doing some searching for a pearl comb and found a lot of great options...so I figured I would leave it up to you! (It is so much easier to not have to make my own decisions on inconsequential things....) :)
So this is a picture of what the clip directly below looks like. It's option #1

Wedding Plans!
I have been so excited to publish all of my wedding plans on my blog, and now that it's time I realized that people might get bored/bugged at having to read all about my wedding plans all the time. So I decided to give it a one-step-away outlet and just post about my wedding plans on this private blog. That way people who ACTUALLY want to read about my wedding plans can just come here, and it won't inundate their google readers!
